About the Program
The program aims at producing Ph.D. graduates who are equipped with a good scientific mindset and adequate technical skills to independently conduct original research and a professional perspective of being leaders in expanding the Industrial Engineering discipline.
Program Learning Outcomes
A graduate of the Ph.D. in IE program would be able to:
- Create novel and state-of-the-art IE models and/or products (services or goods) that can address current and future research problems.
- Solve real-world problems, improve product design, or break frontiers of the IE body of knowledge through the independent conduct of original research, following scientifically accepted methods.
- Effectively communicate IE concepts as well as research methods and findings in oral and written format.
- Solve complex IE problems by drawing from substantive knowledge of IE and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Practice ethical and legal standard in research, teaching, and professional service as an industrial engineer engaged in teaching public service research or industry practice.
