Philippine Center for Economic Development (PCED) Seeks Project Building Administrator
Project Background
The Philippine Center for Economic Development is currently undergoing renovation and rehabilitation of its two 3-storey buildings under the project Continuing Rehabilitation and Upgrade of PCED Buildings that is implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways Quezon City Second District Engineering Office and National Capital Region.
The main function of the Building Administrator (BA) is to work with the Project Management team currently supervising the renovation works for the PCED Main Building (Encarnacion Hall) and the PCED Library Building (Economics Library). Basically, the BA is to perform administrative and technical support and assistance to the project.
Scope of Work and Deliverables
- Check and monitor the physical condition, general upkeep and cleanliness of the buildings, its surroundings and facilities during the implementation of the project;
- Coordinate with the concerned UPSE staff i.e Administrative Officer, BA, etc., custodial workers, personnel of other pertinent offices, contractors, etc., any necessary logistics and information related to the PCED buildings that are needed for the implementation of the project (e.g. electrical and mechanical maintenance, cleaning and security concerns, etc.)
- Offer suggestions and/or recommendations to the PCED Special Projects Division and the Office of the Executive Director items that can improve building administration and utilities management;
- Provide technical and administrative assistance to the Project Manager, Project Coordinator (Administrative Officer V), Division Chief and Executive Director;
- Perform other tasks and duties that may be assigned by the Project Manager, Project Coordinator (Administrative Officer V), Division Chief and Executive Director.
Qualifications
- A graduate of BS Civil Engineering, BS Mechanical Engineering, BS Industrial Engineering, or any course relevant to the tasks;
- Has above average communication skills in both written and oral.
- Possesses an outstanding organizational and management skills. Can work with minimal supervision.
- Must be proficient and knowledgeable in MS Office, familiar with engineering drawings and construction documents.
- Has a working knowledge of building maintenance and basic engineering management principles.
- Other soft skills requirements: team player, critical thinker, hardworking, diligent, detail-oriented and resilient.
Engagement Period
The BA will work on a full-time basis for 6 months.
Contract Amount and Terms of Payment
In consideration of the above scope for work, PCED shall pay Thirty-Two Thousand Four Hundred Pesos (PHP 32,400.00) per month, inclusive of all applicable taxes, for completion of the tasks for six (6) months from April to September 2024. Engagement may be renewed for another six (6) months as needed.
