Call for Papers: 2nd Physical Internet National Symposium 2024

Date: November 28-29, 2024
Location: De La Salle University, Manila, Philippines

The 2nd Physical Internet National Symposium (PIS 2024) now accepts paper submissions.
This event aims to gather researchers, academics, and industry professionals to exchange
innovative ideas, cutting-edge research, and best practices on topics that shape the future of
logistics, transportation, and supply chain management through the lens of the Physical Internet
and related fields.

The Physical Internet (PI) is a global logistics framework that emphasizes openness and
connectivity through physical, digital, and operational means, using encapsulation, interfaces,
and protocols. It takes inspiration from the ‘Digital Internet‘ (DI) and applies similar principles to
the handling and storage of physical goods. PI seeks to tackle problems such as transportation
inefficiencies, environmental impact, supply chain resilience, asset utilization, standardization
and interoperability, last-mile delivery issues, and urban logistics challenges. For more information
on the Physical Internet paradigm, kindly read this article from the European Commission.
