FAQs

What are the important dates to know for registration?

For Undergrad & Grad:

For the 1st semester of new first-year (NFY) students, this is communicated to you by the OUR, the College, and the Department through various orientations and email correspondences. For all other continuing students, you may find all important registration dates on CRS ( https://crs.upd.edu.ph/auth/index/events )

Notable important registration activities/dates:

For 1st Sem NFY Students

• NFY Pre-enlistment period
• NFY Batch run & result
• Pre-advising session (℅ IE Dept)
• Advanced Registration* (℅ OUR)
• Regular Registration Period (post-advising)
• Deadline for Changemat
• Deadline for Payment
For all other continuing students

• Regular Pre-enlistment period/s
• Regular Batch run/s & result/s
• Regular Registration Period
• Enlistment
• Post-advising
• Deadline for Changemat
• Deadline for Payment

Do I need to do anything before the registration period?

For Undergrad & Grad:

Make sure to answer the regular course demand survey sent by the Department. The Department uses this survey to estimate the demand of IE students non-major/cognate and elective courses and plan its own course offerings for the upcoming semester.

When is the course demand survey released?

For Undergrad & Grad:

The timeline for release of this survey is:

• (for 1st Sem registration) during the preceding midyear term
• (for 2nd Sem registration) near the end of the preceding 1st Semester

Once available, this may be accessed via the IEOR website or the IE Department Facebook group.
The survey is also disseminated to all IE students via email. If you have not been receiving this email, please notify the Department Chair ( iedeptchair.upd@up.edu.ph )

What happens if I am unable to answer the course demand survey?

For Undergrad & Grad:

Should Offering Units request a list of students that must be enlisted in their courses, this survey will serve as the source of that list.

Undergrad IE students who fail to accomplish this survey by the deadline will be tagged as “Low Priority” during CRS pre-enlistment for the upcoming regular semester.

I have no subjects to take in the upcoming semester. Do I still need to answer the course demand survey?

For Undergrad & Grad:

Yes. All IE students must answer the course demand survey. If not intending to take any courses that semester, choose none when asked what courses you plan to take.
