Professorial Chair Awardees Presented their Research at the PCA Colloquium

Distinguished faculty members from our department who received Professorial Chair Awards (PCA) shared their research, together with other PCA awardees from the college, at the 2024 UPD College of Engineering PCA Colloquium held on January 24-26, 2024 at the National Engineering Center. Titled “Filipino Engineers for the Advancement of Science and Technology Through Research And Collaborative Knowledge-sharing (F.A.S.T. T.R.A.C.K.)”, this year’s PCA Colloquium had the theme Engineering Research Towards Achieving Philippine Sustainable Development Goals and was well attended by participants from the academe, industry and government.

Industry-Alumni Advisory Council (IAAC) Members Inducted during 1st Assembly

What better way to start the year to establish the Industry-Alumni Advisory Council (IAAC) for the UPD IEORD? The IAAC serves as the platform for industry representatives, alumni, experts, and leaders to collaborate and provide assistance on the various aspects of our department’s programs. On January 11, 2024, the esteemed members of the IAAC were inducted during the IAAC’s first assembly held at UP BGC.

SWELL Room, KIM, and other IE Labs opened doors for Students during the Final Exams Week

The IE Student Wellness Room (SWELL), Kaizen Innovation and Makerspace Lab (KIM), and other IE Labs opened their doors to IEORD students during Finals Week of the last semester, to support the students’ academic endeavors. Resources in these laboratories, like computers, were also available for use by the students to help them prepare for their final exams and projects.

Congratulations to our Faculty Members
