I’d like to welcome you to the 3rd month of the year 2024 and we have been on a great start. It is with great pleasure that finally, the IE Wing is connected to DilNet 2.0. By using your UPD Account, you can access the internet for your academic and research needs. For this, I’d like to thank the University for the support.
We have a lot in store for you this month! But as a teaser, the IE Department, together with the ALLIES, will release the UP IEORD MerchandIEse!! We hope to get your support in this fundraising endeavor to fund more student activities!

IEOR Department Admin Office Moves to the IE-ME Building
From the 3rd week of February 2024, the IEOR Department’s Admin Office’s new home is Room 221 on the 2nd Floor of the IE Wing of the IE-ME Building. Visitors may find the IE-ME Building beside the UP Law Center, in front of the UP Resilience Institute, and at the back of the UP National Engineering Center, along Magsaysay Avenue, corner Apacible Street, UP Diliman, Quezon City.
Department General Assembly Held on February 26, 2024
To have form to discuss the concerns of students, faculty members, and staff, the IEORD held its General Assembly online on February 26, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. It is the hope that through the General Assembly , a healthy exchange of ideas among members of the IE FamIEly will promote camaraderie with one another, for the continuous improvement of the department.
UPERDFI Hold Donor Recognition and Thanksgiving Dinner
On February 7, 2024, the UP-Engineering Research and Development Foundation Inc. (UPERDFI) held a Donor Recognition and Thanksgiving Dinner to honor and appreciate those who have supported the College of Engineering through its foundation. Among the attendees was UP IEOR Alumnus and former DPWH Sec. Rongelio Singson. Furthermore, IEOR Alumna Dean Aura Matias was recognized as a doner, and UPIEAA AchIEvers Program was acknowledged during the event. The IEORD was also acknowledged for co-managing the UP IE Golden Pillars Project while the UP IE Alumni Association for the UP IEAA AchIEvers Program.
Congratulations to our Faculty Members
– Assistant Professor and Department Chair Raymond Freth A. Lagria for presenting his paper at the International Conference Big Data for Disaster Response and Management in Asia and the Pacific held last February 15-17, 2024 in Sendai, Japan.
