ATTENTION! ALL IE 194 STUDENTS
The I.E. M.I.N.D.S. Laboratories are now accepting student applicants for lab membership.
What are the I.E. M.I.N.D.S. labs?
The IE MINDS Laboratories consist of several Industrial Engineering Labs under the UPD IE Department. Each laboratory has its own focus for research, projects, academic and extension services.
IE MINDS stands for Industrial Engineering for Methods, Innovation, Networks, Data, and Systems:
What are the benefits of joining the Labs?
All students of IE 194 (and later IE 195) for the incoming semester are required to apply and become affiliates of the labs under IE MINDS.
1. Students are guided by faculty members and senior researchers who have expertise in specific IE applications
2. Each lab offers a dedicated space (some virtual space) and community for collaborative learning and problem-solving
3. Students are able to elevate their IE 194 industry or research proposals upon application, anchoring their capstone in practical and relevant challenges.
4. Students are able to interact and collaborate with fellow lab members, including senior students, who can provide mentorship, technical input, and peer support
5. Students participate in lab-specific activities such as technical workshops, project presentations, industry collaborations, and research publication efforts
